Brought my V8 VW Touareg to the local VW dealer in Franklin for a long, ongoing problem with the air suspension and repeated annoying error codes. After three (3) weeks, their “Touareg expert” told me it needed a new $330 battery (again) and a new air compressor...to start. The estimate was $1,600 on top of the $3,400 I had already paid another VW dealer that temporarily fixed the EXACT SAME issue!! I told them “NO… I’ll come pick it up”. Drove it down to Bret @ German MotorWorks and he replaced the Interstate battery for free because they are an interstate dealer and it was still under the warranty. The new battery corrected the error codes and the air suspension (raise / lower) is working perfectly. They found no leaks and no need to replace anything else. Total bill out the door was $391. D O N E. If you own a German vehicle, especially a high performance model, there simply is no better shop to professionally and ethically work on your ride. THANK YOU Bret & staff!!

We just had German Motorworks install a transmission in my son's 2009 BMW 535i and had a very positive experience. Their service work was extremely through, they kept us updated throughout the process and even pointed out an item that needed to be replaced under a BMW dealer specific class action recall. Their shop and waiting area out front is extremely clean and organized. Noted that their property is also very secure with a high fence to keep the cars safe. It is my understanding that the guys that started the company began their careers working at dealerships then went out on their own and started German Motorworks. I also respect the fact that they are very active on social medial with the local BMW enthusiast Facebook page and are always willing to offer advice to the DIY crowd. Great company please give them a shot.

Great people, and amazing service. It’s rare to have trustworthy people that are genuine nowadays. Definitely would come back, but I think they made it so I don’t have to! 100 percent recommend to anyone with bmw.
